Burningsound is owned and operated by Ivan de Prume. Ivan comes from a rich family history of musicians and artists. He is the great-great grandson of famous Canadian musicians Frantz Jehin-Prume and Rosita del Vecchio. Frantz Jehin-Prume is one of the most famous musicians to come from Canada and was a a volinist and composer who played for royalty all over the world. Rosita del Vecchio, Frantz's wife, was an opera singer and actress that was also a notable performer during her time. You can read more about them here:

Ivan started his career as a professional drummer when he was still in high school in New York playing with the noise/metal band White Zombie. Ivan recorded and toured with White Zombie for seven years, releasing three full length albums (Soul-Crusher, Make Them Die Slowly, and La Sexorcisto), and three EP’s (Pig Heaven, Psycho-Head Blowout and God of Thunder). In the subsequent years since White Zombie disbanded, a Greatest Hits CD (Past, Present and Future) and a boxset (Let Sleeping Corpses Lie) featuring almost every song the band ever recorded has also been released and features Ivan’s heavy hitting style. La Sexorcisto was nominated for a Grammy for Best Metal Performance and is a multi-platinum selling album.
Ivan expanded his musical skills after White Zombie to include other styles of music, including world percussion, and began producing and engineering projects in his studio, Burningsound. He has worked with many artists including KMFDM, L7, Psychotica, and The Willowz and can be heard on the soundtrack for Sony’s Ghost Rider.
Ivan’s love of metal and world percussion led him to start a band that incorporated both and Healer was born. Middle-eastern melodies and edgy riffs are combined, creating a listening experience that is rich in quality and beautiful in sound.
He is also a member of Las Vegas based metal band, KREEP. In 2009, KREEP recorded a full-length album "Lead Us Not" at Burningsound.
Ivan is multi-faceted and likes working on a variety of projects. Ivan's love of technology led him to expand his studio offerings to include a "virtual studio". Recording drums and percussion, mixing, producing, and engineering for projects locally in Oregon and from all over the world virtually are just a few of the things Ivan is working on.
